Until next time...
This was the final week of Aggie volleyball for this '07-'08 school year. This past weekend the current Aggies team took on the Alumni in a best of five game match. We had an awesome turn out! Many boosters and young Aggie fans showed up to watch the Aggies defeat the Alumni in three quick easy games, but for the sake of FUN we played one more.
The current Aggies proved their worthiness to the alumni in a fourth and final game sweeping 25-8! After the match everyone gathered outside for a wonderful picnic style get together where the players, boosters, coaches and many other Aggie volleyball fans mingled and ate wonderful food!
It was an awesome time end of the year party! Everyone enjoyed themselves and had a good time soaking up the sun outside the practice gym. it was a picture perfect day until four sprinklers turned on in the middle of all our tables. Though the day was not ruined it created many laughs and added to our end of the season fun.
The girls and coaches are very pleased with this spring season we all got so much better but now we are hungry for more competition in the fall. We will be hosting a tournament here at the Pan American Center this fall so look for us! We will also be attending a tournament in California along with other top name schools such as Stanford and Santa Clara. We will also take a trip to the the amazing midwest! That's where I'm from! We will be playing at the University of Illinois, where we will take on not only the host but North Carolina. So our season is over until this coming fall but it was amazing while it lasted!
Thanks to everyone for everything! On behalf of the volleyball team we love every one of you for all of your support, please keep it up! GO AGGIES!
