The Daily Aggie :: 06/04/08

The NMSU athletic website takes a look back at the 2008 season. We've mentioned it a couple of times but it's certainly worth mentioning again that the baseball team made a nine game improvement in league play over last season and their 15 wins was three more than the previous two seasons in the WAC. While the Sun-News points that the Aggies only had a five game improvement overall in the win column it's important to point out that the Aggies lost 14 games by three or fewer runs. The Aggies were in most of their games and if you follow Aggie baseball (or college baseball) you know that three runs is not a very big deficit. In the 2007 season only nine of the Aggies' losses were by three or fewer runs.

The NMSU athletic website also recaps the 2007/2008 men's golf season. The Aggies took home their second WAC title in three years. The Aggies finished the season on a hot streak. The Aggies won their final three tournaments of the season including the WAC Championship tournament.
