The Daily Aggie :: 06/28/08

Today as we continue our review of the Best Wins of '07/'08 we take a took back at the Aggie head men's and women's tennis coach Don Ball's picks for a couple of wins that meaningful for the coaching staff and players.

I think beating Idaho here was important, it doesn't sound like it but Idaho is a very good team. They've got a couple of Russians that play very well and it came down to a couple of matches right at the very end and winning close ones against conference rivals is gigantic.

On the women's side I can point to about four matches that we played. We had lost to Northern Arizona last year. We beat up on them. We beat up on UTEP who we had lost to the year before so there were about four different schools the we compete against that we lost to last year that we beat. I think those were the keys for us. It was really the barometer to see that our program had come a long long way. We have a really good foundation for next year.
