Aggies Fall To No. 7 Stanford 3-0

The Aggie volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to No. 7 Stanford on Thursday evening in the first match of the Stanford Invitational. The Aggies lost the first and second sets by similar margins at 25-17 and 25-16 but coming out of the intermission the Aggies hung tough with the Cardinal losing 26-24 in the third set.

Lindsey Yon led the Aggies with 10 kills while Amber Simpson added nine kills. The Aggies hit .053 in the first set, .000 in the second set and .091 in the third set. The Aggies were bothered once again by the opponent's block as Stanford recorded 12 blocks. The loss drops the Aggies to 4-5 on the season.

The Aggies take on Santa Clara on Friday afternoon with the match set to start at 5:30 p.m. MDT.
