Brynja Rodgers' Aggie Volleyball Diary :: September 16th, 2008

Losing to Stanford and Santa Clara wasn't the end of the world for our young Aggie team. We learned from playing Texas the previous week that stepping up the challange is something that always needs to be done and we did just that getting ready to take the #7 ranked team in the nation, Stanford.

In the locker room we talked about getting excited and bringing energy to the floor. We decided from the begining that we weren't just gonna go out there and try to give Stanford a run for their money, we chose to put our minds to WINNING!

We lost in three games to the Stanford powerhouse but played exceptionally well. Our passers did a good job putting the ball on the money and we scrambled on defense and took it to them, but unfortunately Stanford came out on top.

We still have much to work on but we played well and this can only mean good things will come from our hard work and competitive mindset.

Conference play starts this Thursday and we are all very excited! We are finally back in our own gym practing and we'll be playing in front of the fans we love! This Thursday we will take on Fresno State and on Saturday we hope to make Nevada pay for coming to Cruces :)

GO AGGIES!
