Aggies Sweep Wahine, Move Into Tie For First Place

The Aggies dominated the middle of the third set building a 21-13 lead and hung on for a 25-21 victory to sweep the sixth ranked Wahine in Honolulu. The Aggies recorded their first victory over a Top 10 team in 70 tries. The victory moves the Aggies into a tie for first place with the Wahine at 6-1 in conference play.

The Aggie defense was outstanding holding the Wahine to a .023 hitting percentage on the night. The Aggies hit .169 in the match and were led by Amber Simpson with 11 kills. Lindsey Yon had 10 kills to go along with 11 digs. Erin Birmingham continued her outstanding play recording five kills on seven attempts for a .714 hitting percentage.
