DENVER, CO - Quarterback Chase Holbrook was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Week by the conference office Monday morning for his efforts against the Nevada Wolf Pack this past weekend.

Holbrook, a senior from Hurst, Texas (SE Louisiana), threw for 409 yards and three touchdowns and also scored a rushing touchdown in New Mexico State’s 48-45 win at Nevada. He completed 28-of-47 passes with one interception. During the game, he surpassed the 10,000 yard passing mark for his career, moving into seventh in WAC history. It was the second road win of the year for the Aggies, the most for a New Mexico State team since 2002.

This is Holbrook’s second player of the week honor, winning his first back in 2006.

The Aggies take on San Jose State this coming weekend at Aggie Memorial Stadium beginning at 6:00 p.m. The game will also feature the NMSU Aggies are Tough Enough to Wear Pink, as the NMSU Athletics Department, the University and the Las Cruces community will raise money for breast cancer research.
