It's here, gameday. Aggies vs. Miners. The Battle of I-10.

Before you head out to the tailgate or the game, cast your vote for Chase Holbrook in the Davey O'Brien fan voting. Voting runs until October 29th and Chase is currently 13th in the voting.

Also, the volleyball team takes on their other rival, Nevada today at 1:00 p.m. in Reno. The Aggies are looking to snap a two game losing streak to Nevada in Reno.

Steve Ramirez of the Las Cruces Sun-News reports that as of late yesterday afternoon there were about 2,000 tickets left for today's game.

Felix Chavez of the Las Cruces Sun-News writes that UTEP senior running back Marcus Thomas is hoping for a big game tonight against our Aggies.

The always hard-working El Paso Times writer Bret Bloomquist reports that the UTEP defense thinks it's up to the challenge of facing another spread offense.

Louie Gilot of the El Paso Times says that tailgating is a big part of the Aggie/Miner game.

Chad Crippe of the Idaho Statesman reports the Boise State's president says that the school's long term goal is a spot in the Mountain West. He also says that BSU isn't the only WAC school with it's eyes on the WAC, although no names are named.
