The Daily Aggie :: 09/17/07

Happy Monday everyone, before we get started, a reminder to vote for Chase Holbrook in the Davey O'Brien Award fan voting.

Also, don't forget to check out our pictures from Saturday's game.

As you all know, the Aggies' next opponent is Auburn, who is fresh off back-to-back losses at home and is not likely to be a gracious host. I'm sure they and their fans will be looking at NMSU as a "get well" game. Before Saturday's game though, the Aggie volleyball team will look to continue it's unbeaten ways in the conference as they take on Utah State in the Pan Am on Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

Then on Saturday, it's THE volleyball rivalry in the WAC, Hawai'i vs. NMSU, 7:00 p.m. in the Pan Am. It's pack the Pan Am night, the last time Hawai'i came to town, the Aggies ended their 114 match conference winning streak. The Aggies are hoping to break the NMSU volleyball attendance record of 7,115 this year. So... just like we did for "Crimson Out" night for football, expect to see the following poster every day...

On to today's links...

The Auburn Tigers's official website has posted their preview of the game. Interesting to note that despite coaching at Kentucky from 1997-2000, coach Mumme has never coached against Auburn.

Quarterback questions abound at Auburn and head coach Tommy Tuberville isn't saying who will be the starter against the Aggies reports Phillip Marshall of the Huntsville Times.

Evan Woodbery of the Alabama Press-Times writes that the Tigers' season could be on the brink.

Charles Goldberg also of the Alabama Press-Times reports that the Auburn Tigers have been their own worst enemy, turning the ball over 10 times in the past two games

Jay G. Tate of the Montgomery Advertiser writes that Auburn head coach Tommy Tuberville says the Tigers have to go back to the drawing board after their loss to Mississippi State..
