Jahmar Young Earns NABC First Team All-District Honors

KANSAS CITY, MO - Jahmar Young is one of eight WAC players to earn NABC All-District honors for District 6. Young earned First Team honors along with Utah State's Gary Wilkinson, Nevada's Luke Babbitt, Idaho's Mac Hopson and Nevada's Armon Johnson. Jahmar leads the WAC in scoring at 18.5 points per game. He is also averaging 4.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. He has scored over 30 points twice this season, 33 against Loyola Marymount and 32 against San Jose State. He's scored over 20 points in seven games this season.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District teams, recognizes the nation's best men's collegiate basketball student-athletes. Selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC, these student-athletes represent the finest basketball players across America. The 240 student-athletes, from 24 districts which were realigned this season, are now eligible for the State Farm Coaches' Division I All-America teams to be announced on Saturday, April 4, at Hoop City in the COBO Center at 10 a.m. as part of the 2009 NABC Convention in Detroit.
