The Daily Aggie :: 06/04/09

Be sure to check out the third and final part of this week's interview with Aggie head baseball coach Rocky Ward. We discussed a couple of the other team statistics that we've discussed here namely the Aggies' 18-9 record in close games (final margin of three runs or fewer) as well as the Aggies' eye popping 8.6 run margin of victory in the 23 victories where the Aggie pitching and defense held the opponents to five runs or fewer.

We'll have more from Coach Ward next week as the Super Regionals come to a close and the eight victors head to Omaha for the College World Series. For full coverage of all eight Super Regionals which begin tomorrow visit our friends at The College Baseball Blog.

If you're in Albuquerque you should make time to stop by the Fox and Hound Pub & Grill this evening around 5:30 p.m. The alumni chapter in Albuquerque will have a special guest this evening as the one of this year's inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame, Pervis Atkins, will be on hand this evening. Don't miss out on this chance to meet one of Aggie football's true legends.
