As promised on Saturday, this week we will be running a special story written by our resident Aggie historian Walter Hines about former Aggie head football coach Warren Woodson. Woodson coached the Aggies from 1958 through 1967 and in 10 seasons at the helm he went 63-36-3 and led the Aggies to back-to-back Sun Bowl victories in 1959 and 1960, the 1960 bowl win being not only the last bowl appearance and victory for the Aggies, but also capped a perfect 11-0 season (for more on the 1960 season revisit our feature story on Pervis Atkins).
Read part one and be sure to come back all week for the rest of the story.

Check out the pictures taken by photographer Rich Chavez from this weekend's Mike Jordan volleyball team camp. Next weekend the Aggie coaching staff will host the setter/libero camp. The Aggies start the season on Saturday, August 22nd with the annual Alumni match. They'll then officially start the regular season on the road in Denton, TX as they participate in North Texas' Mean Green Volleyball Classic where they'll face Southern Methodist, Northern Colorado and host (and former Sun Belt conference foe) North Texas. The Aggies open the home slate on Friday, September 4th as they host a tournament featuring Oral Roberts, Florida State, Illinois and then cap off the weekend with a match against the Italian National Team.
Finally, Louisiana Tech head women's basketball coach Teresa Witherspoon was selected to the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Witherspoon had a standout career at La. Tech as a player and took over as head coach midway through last season. The Lady Techsters and their Hall of Fame coach visit the Pan American Center on Wednesday, February 17th, 2010.
