The Aggie women's basketball team was stunned by Nevada 64-60 on Saturday night. The Aggies used tough defense in the first half to force 15 Wolf Pack turnovers en route to a 41-20 halftime lead. In the first half the Aggies held the Wolf Pack to just 32.0 percent shooting from the field (8-of-25) while the Aggies shot 54.8 percent (17-of-31).

The Aggies struggled offensively in the second half but still held the lead until a layup by Nevada's Shavon Moore with 2:00 minutes left in the game gave the Wolf Pack a 55-54 lead. The Aggies trailed 61-57 with 12 seconds left after a pair of free throws by Nevada's Johnna Ward. Out of a timeout by the Aggies, Madison Spence knocked down a three pointer to cut the Wolf Pack lead to one at 61-60. The Aggies put the Wolf Pack on the free throw line twice but gave up two offensive rebounds by Shavon Moore and Nicole Williams on back-to-back trips as the Aggies were unable to capitalize on missed free throws by the Wolf Pack.

Madison Spence scored 14 points on the night and became the 17th player in program history to eclipse the 1,000 point mark for a career. Jasmine Lowe suffered an injury late in the game and did not return. Lowe finished with a team high 17 points. Crystal Boyd added 16 points and 10 rebounds. She also had six steals and five blocks. Tabytha Wampler finished with eight points and six rebounds. Kaitlyn Soto and Camila Rosen each added two points, Christina Fletcher hit one free throw and Danisha Corbett was held scoreless.

Tahnee Robinson led all scorers with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Shavon Moore added 14 points, Kayla Williams and Johnna Ward each scored nine points.

The Aggies fall to 3-4 in the WAC and 13-8 overall. Nevada improves to 6-1 in WAC play and 12-9 overall.
