Besides, the Illinois earthquake was barely a shake, and no buildings fell over, and it isn't like you need payday loans to replace a few coffee mugs or glasses, maybe a picture frame, or put a book back on the shelf. Kane County and Chicago don’t exactly lie on a major fault line like San Francisco or Seattle does – and the nearest volcano to Chicago is in South Dakota – hardly an immanent threat there, either.
