The Daily Aggie :: 10/07/07

College Football Lives Here. At least according to ESPN. Tonight the Aggies take on the Broncos at 6:00 p.m. on ESPN. It's still unclear whether Chase Holbrook, A.J. Harris and Nick Cleaver will play tonight. If the Aggies are to have a shot at taking down Boise State on the Smurf Turf, then that trio must be in the game. Despite saying that, Stanford proved last night that a backup quarterback can lead his team to victory over a heavily favored opponent on their home field. After tonight, maybe ESPN will be saying Upsets Live Here.

Last night the Aggie volleyball team took care of business against San Jose State, winning the match in a three game sweep. The girls continue their quest for the title on Thursday night at home against Louisiana Tech.

Don't forget to vote for Chase Holbrook in the Davey O'Brien Award fan voting. Chase is slowly losing ground to Tulsa's Paul Smith so make sure to vote every day.

On to today's links...

Chad Crippe of the Idaho Statesman writes that a sledgehammer has become the symbol of the Broncos' blue collar mentality.

Brian Murphy of the Idaho Statesman believes that the blue turf of Boise State's field will see another lopsided Bronco victory over NMSU.
