Four Aggies Earn All-WAC Honors

FRESNO, CA - The Western Athletic Conference 2010 men's and women's tennis award winners, as selected by the league's head coaches were announced, Thursday, April 29, and included four Aggies.

On the men's side, junior Jim Brouleau earned second team All-WAC singles honors after finishing the season with a 17-11 record. This is his second consecutive season to receive the honor. He has been a key factor in the Aggies season and helped the team to beat #58 Texas A&M Corpus Christi and WAC opponent Utah State during the regular season.

Brouleau and doubles partner, freshman Orlando Superlano earned all-conference accolades as well. The pair earned an 11-7 record and had a perfect 5-0 record at the No. 2 singles spot.

Senior Sophia Marks was named to the second team all-conference for her third year in a row. Marks was 11-18 on the season and helped the Aggies to beat San Jose State and Idaho. She also won her No. 1 singles match against non-conference rival UTEP.

Sophomore Manon Sylvain and Marks also teamed up on the doubles court to earn second team All-WAC accolades. The duo finished the regular season with a 14-3 record overall and 6-1 in WAC play. The pair earned the record solely at the No. 2 doubles position for the Aggies.
