Hoku Nohara Named NFCA First Team All-West Region Team

Hoku NoharaNew Mexico State junior first baseman Hoku Nohara was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association First Team All-Region team for the West Region.

Nohara led the Aggies in batting average (.378), slugging percentage (.825), home runs (16), doubles (14) and walks (37) while striking out just 23 times in 143 at bats.

Nohara finished 2-for-3 with five walks, two home runs and five RBIs while scoring three runs in the Aggies' two games in the 2010 WAC Tournament.

Nohara joins fellow WAC players Melissa Gonzalez, Kelly Majam and Jenna Rodriguez, all from Hawai'i, on the First Team.
