Aggies To Face 4-Seed Hawai'i In WAC Tournament

With day one of the 2010 WAC Baseball Tournament in Mesa, Ariz. in the books the Aggies found out their opening game opponent. The format for the tournament gives the 1st and 2nd place regular season finishers a first round bye and matches the 1-seed against the lowest remaining seed in the winner's bracket and the 2-seed with the highest remaining seed in the winner's bracket.

The Aggies will face 4-seed Hawai'i who defeated 5-seed Louisiana Tech 8-7 in 10 innings as they rallied from a 6-2 deficit in the 8th inning as UH second baseman Kolten Wong delivered a pair of two-run home runs in his final two at-bats of the game, the first coming in the bottom of the 8th and the second coming in the bottom of the 10th to earn the walk-off victory with Hawai'i trailing 7-6.

The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m PT first pitch and can be heard on KSNM AM 570 in Las Cruces, streaming audio will be available via Aggie Access (subscription required) and streaming video will be available via WAC.tv (subscription required).
