The Daily Aggie :: 08/13/10

Aggie football media day was yesterday and the guys at AggieVision have put together a series of video interviews which you can view below this post.

Tonight is the first annual Crimson/White soccer scrimmage at Aggie Memorial Stadium. The Aggie soccer team kicks off their season one week from today against I-10 rival UTEP. Their match next Friday will mark the start of the 2010-2011 athletic season at New Mexico State.

The Aggie basketball team played the fifth game on their Canadian summer tour against the Kia All-Stars and came away with a convincing 102-74 victory. The Aggies will play one more game tonight which will conclude the tour. The Aggies have canceled their scheduled exhibition for tomorrow which was to be against the Ottawa Guardsmen Alumni team.

Our WAC summer check-in has been posted at Rush The Court. A quick note on the article, we were asked to provide a power ranking for the league which we sort of did. We ranked Utah State at 1, New Mexico State at 2, Nevada at 3 but spots 4-8 we think are a Pick 'Em (with Hawai'i coming in at No. 9) so the power ranking listed in the article is not what where we think each team will finish, rather, it's just the artificially assigned number that the editors at RTC gave to numbers four through eight.
