The Aggie football team fell behind 17-0 in the first quarter and 31-0 in the second quarter as Idaho scored on all three first quarter drives and could not recover falling 37-14 in Moscow on Saturday afternoon.

The Aggies would get a pair of touchdowns, one right before halftime and one right before the end of the game to make the score respectable but penalties would hurt the Aggies all afternoon. The Aggies were flagged 11 times for 85 yards in the first half turning what could have been a competitive game into a blowout.

In the first half the Aggies were flagged six times for 35 yards in penalties that wiped out 87 gained yards including a 59 yard touchdown pass. On defense the Aggies were only penalized three times for 36 yards, however, all three resulted in first downs, two resulted in third downs being converted and those two penalties resulted in touchdowns just two plays following the penalty.

Idaho drove 41 yards on nine plays on their first possession getting a field goal from Trey Farquhar to go up 3-0. The Aggies would go three and out on their first possession giving the ball back to Idaho on the Aggie 42. The Vandals would take seven plays and score on an 11-yard completion from Nathan Enderle to Preston Davis. The extra point would give the Vandals a 10-0 lead. After another Aggie punt the Vandals would drive 71 yards on six plays culminating in a two yard touchdown pass from Enderle to Maurice Shaw putting the Vandals up 17-0.

The Aggies would put together an 11 play drive but the drive would stall at the Aggies' 46 forcing them to punt once again. Idaho would drive to the Aggies' 35 yard line and it would appear that the Aggies would force a Vandal punt as Nathan Enderle's pass to Eric Greenwood would fall incomplete but a personal foul facemask penalty on Tommy Stuart would give the Vandals a first down on the Aggies' 20. Two plays later Princeton McCarty would break a 13-yard touchdown run to put Idaho head 24-0 after the extra point.

The two teams would trade punts on their next possessions as the Aggies were stymied by penalties including an illegal shift penalty that wiped out a 59-yard touchdown pass play from Matt Christian to Kenny Turner. The Aggies would be called for three penalties on the drive including an illegal formation that nullified a 19-yard pass completion from Christian to Kyle Nelson on third and 13.

Following the Aggie punt, Idaho would put together a 12 play 77 yard drive that was aided by a pass interference penalty on the Aggies' Alphonso Powell covering Daniel Hardy in the endzone. The penalty put the ball at the Idaho two where two plays later they would score on a pass from Enderle to Kama Baily. The extra point put the Vandals ahead 31-0 with 41 seconds left to play.

The Aggies would take over on the Idaho 46 after another long kickoff return by Taveon Rogers. Matt Christian would find Todd Lee for 19 yards putting the ball on the Vandals' 32 yard line. On third and 10 Christian would rush for 15 yards down to the Idaho 17 and two plays later Christian would find Kyle Nelson for a 17-yard touchdown strike to put the Aggies on the board. The extra point would make the score 31-7 at halftime.

The defenses would take over in the second half as neither team would score until late in the third quarter when Trey Farquhar would kick a 38-yard field goal to put Idaho up 34-7.

The fourth quarter would see much of the same until late as Idaho would get a field goal from Farquhar with 2:59 left in the game to put Idaho ahead 37-7. The Aggies would take over and after the Vandals would force an Aggie punt, Idaho's Shiloh Keo would fumble the punt and the Aggies would recover at the Idaho 28. The Aggies would get a 28-yard touchdown pass from Matt Christian to Kenonte Howard with 19 seconds remaining in the game and the extra point would make the final score 37-14.

Matt Christian would finish the game 8-of-29 for 134 yards and two touchdowns and Kyle Nelson would catch one of the two touchdowns finishing with two receptions for 48 yards. Kenonte Howard would catch one pass for 28 yards, the final touchdown pass. Kenny Turner rushed for 77 yards on 18 carries while Matt Christian would rush 10 times for 38 yards. The Vandals limited Seth Smith to just 13 yards on nine carries.
