The Aggie women's basketball team took care of business against Western New Mexico last night but the win came at a price as senior point guard Madison Spence suffered a concussion and will likely be out for this weekend's games in the Thanksgiving classic.

The Aggies will probably use junior guard Kaitlyn Soto, senior guard Jasmine Lowe and freshman Andrea Chenier more in the rotation.

The Aggies are still looking to put together a complete game. Western New Mexico was able to stick close in the rebounding margin with the Aggies. Western finished with 31 rebounds just one fewer than the Aggies. WNMU also shot 47.8 percent in the first half, though the Aggies did hold Western to just 37 percent in the second half.

The Aggies are back in action on Friday and Saturday for the Thanksgiving classic and will face Alcorn State and either Northern Iowa or Louisiana-Monroe.

The Aggie men's basketball is back in action tonight as they renew the rivalry with UTEP. The game is at the Don Haskins Center in El Paso where the Aggies pulled off a stunning upset of UTEP last season after head coach Marvin Menzies was ejected from the game after receiving two technical fouls in the first half. The Aggies trailed by 11 with just over eight minutes left in the half and went on to win by seven points, 87-80.

The Aggies are looking to work past some on the court issues that have popped up in the past three games. The Aggies did not finish their game against Arizona last week and then saw their go-to player Troy Gillenwater sit out the second half of their game against USC as head coach Marvin Menzies felt he did not come out ready to play.

UTEP is 2-1 on the season losing to Pacific in their home opener but defeating Mercer and Western Carolina in their past two games. Randy Culpepper is their returning go-to guy and has been a noted Aggie-killer in the past. Julyan Stone is averaging 12 points and eight rebounds for UTEP.

Tonight's game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. tipoff and can be heard on the Aggie Sports Network with Jack Nixon calling the action. Live Stats will be available via the UTEP athletic website.
