Jennah DeVriesKANSAS CITY, MO - The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the All-America teams on Tuesday, December 15 and junior setter Jennah DeVries earned honorable mention honors for the second consecutive season. DeVries becomes just the second Aggie to earn All-American honors multiple times.

The All-American honor is the latest in a list of accomplishments this season as DeVries was also named First Team All-WAC and AVCA West Region First Team.

DeVries, a native of Sedalia, Colo., earned the honor for the second consecutive year as she led the Aggies and was second in the Western Athletic Conference at 11.06 assists per set.

DeVries finished the season with 1,205 assists and now has 2,833 assists in her career. She is sixth on the Aggies' career assists list passing Jill Hendry who played for NM State from 1987-88. She is now behind Jessica Rombach (1996-99) who posted 3,031 assists in her career while Christine Jinbo tallied 4,294 from 1993-96 to sit atop the all-time list.

DeVries also finished with 239 digs on the season and averaged 2.19 digs per set. DeVries was second on the team in service aces finishing the season with 20. She also recorded 34 total blocks and 68 kills.

The Aggies have had at least once player earn All-American honors each season since 2003 as Trinia Cuseo (2003), Stevi Adams (2004), Kim Oguh (2005-2007), Amber Simpson (2006), Krystal Torres (2008) and Jennah DeVries (2009-2010) have all earned the honor.

DeVries joins four other WAC players who earned All-American honors as Hawai'i outside hitter Kanani Danielson was named to the First Team, Hawai'i middle blocker Brittany Hewitt was named to the second team, Hawai'i setter Dani Mafua and Utah State outside hitter Liz McArthur both earned honorable mention.
