It's a big night for Aggie basketball as both the men and the women are in action. The men host Boise State while the women are at Boise State. The Aggie men sit 4-3 in conference play and because of tiebreaker rules, they are in 5th place in the league. The Aggies lost to Boise State earlier this season in Boise. The Aggie offense sputtered in the second half after a blistering first half that saw the Aggies shoot 69.6 percent and hit eight first half threes. The Aggies hit just nine buckets in the second half and struggled to a 37.5 percent shooting half. Despite that the Aggies still only lost by three points but it was a game that the Aggies let slip through their fingers.

These two teams have has some high-scoring classics over the past several seasons and if you love offense, this is the game for you. The winner of the past eight meetings has scored at least 80 points in each of the eight games and the average final score over those eight games is 92-85 with each team winning four games.

Three factors to watch for tonight, transition defense, the Aggies did a terrible job against Utah State in this area. Look for improvement tonight. Rebounding. The Aggies had a horrendous time grabbing rebounds last week and were out-rebounded by an astounding 28 boards, 13 against Nevada and 15 against Utah State. Free throw shooting. The Aggies had a rough go of it against USU hitting just 5-of-13 attempts. Much has been made of the Aggies' ability to get to the line this season as they lead the nation in free throw attempts, however, if you can't knock 'em down, it doesn't do you much good (other than getting the other team in foul trouble). Third, the Aggie offense sputtered in the second half against Nevada and was not particularly efficient against Utah State. The Aggies need to get their offensive woes figured out in a hurry.

Tonight's game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. (MT) tip-off and can be seen on AggieVision, ESPN Full Court and streaming online on ESPN3.com. Radio coverage will be available on the Aggie Sports Network and streaming audio is available via Aggie Access (subscription required).

The Aggie women's basketball team is in Boise to take on the Broncos. The Aggies are 3-2 in conference play and coming off a very solid win against Utah State this past Saturday. It's an opportunity for the Aggies to stay in the top half of the standings.

The Aggies have had mixed success in Boise while in the WAC. Last season the Aggies won 87-83 in overtime, the season before that they lost by 15, in 2007-08 they lost by one in overtime, the season before that they lost by 18 and the first season in the WAC they lost by 25 (but defeated BSU in the WAC tournament by one).

Tonight's game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. (MT) tip-off and can be heard on KSNM AM 570 with streaming audio available via Aggie Access (subscription required).
