The Aggie baseball and softball teams are back in action today. The softball team opens up a 4-game series with No. 14 Nebraska. It's a chance for the Aggies to really boost their non-conference resume in hopes of a an-large bid into the NCAA Regionals.

Nebraska comes into the weekend series with a 21-2 record and their head coach Rhonda Revelle just picked up her 700th career victory on Wednesday. Among the 21 victories for Nebraska are wins over Hawai'i, BYU, both ranked in the Top 25 and then No. 1 Florida this past weekend. The only losses for the Huskers have come to Arizona and to Nevada.

Nikki Haget and Taylor Edwards lead the way for the Huskers with batting averages of .423 and .420 respectively.

The Huskers boast a trio of pitchers, all of whom the Aggies will likely see action against. They are led by Ashley Hagemann who sports a 15-1 record with a 1.12 ERA. Taylor Edwards' twin sister, Tatum, is 3-0 on the season with a 2.62 ERA and Haley Workman is 3-1 with a 3.03 ERA.

The Aggies need to come out this weekend and play with the aggressiveness and tenacity that they played with on Tuesday night against Arizona. If they do that, they have a great chance to win some games against the Huskers.

Last season the Aggies opened up the season against Nebraska and defeated them 4-2 and 2-1, however, that was a much different lineup than will be taking the field for the Huskers this weekend.

Streaming video will be available for today's game via Aggie Access (subscription required) with first pitch scheduled for 4:00 p.m. (MT).

The Aggie baseball team returns to action looking to end a three game losing streak against IPFW. The Aggies and Mastodons will play four games this weekend. The head coach of IPFW is former Aggie player Bobby Pierce who is in his second season as the head coach. The Mastodons are 2-6 on the season with wins over Arkansas-Little Rock and Murray State. They've already had four games cancelled this season (likely due to bad weather).

Will Faulkner is batting .440 to lead IPFW but overall the team is batting just .226 on the season.

The first game of the series begins at tonight at 6:05 p.m. (MT). All four games this weekend can be heard on the radio on KSNM AM 570.

We've also got a report from Pro Day today. Davon House ran a 4.35 40 in front of scouts from the Chicago Bears, Buffalo Bills, Tennessee Titans, Arizona Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and Oakland Raiders.

A total of eight former Aggies worked out for NFL scouts at Pro Day.
