The New Mexico State men's golf team has teed off in the final round of the 2011 WAC Men's Golf Championship Tournament and they currently (as of this writing) hold a nine shot lead of Fresno State. The Aggies are trying to pull off a four-peat with a victory today. There are also four Aggies within seven shots of the individual leader, Damien Telles (Idaho), who is at 4-under par.

The Aggie baseball team re-enters WAC play this weekend as they host Sacramento State. The Aggies had an all-around successful weekend winning three of four games against Seattle in out-of-conference play and then got some help from the rest of the league as the league pretty much beat each other up. Fresno State and Hawai'i split their four game series, Louisiana Tech took three of four from Nevada and San Jose State took three of four from Sacramento State. The weekend's action leaves the Aggies in a good spot as the final three weekends unfold. The Aggies are four games behind first place Hawai'i in the loss column, two games behind second place Fresno State, and a game behind Nevada in the loss column (although the Pack owns the head-to-head tiebreaker).
This weekend will feature some very interesting games as well as Louisiana Tech hosts Fresno State and Hawai'i hosts San Jose State. With these new bats and the strong pitching staffs of both Hawai'i and SJSU, the winner of each game in that series could be the first team to score two runs!
The Aggies' series kicks off on Friday night and will be televised on AggieVision at 4:05 p.m. (MT). A series victory will get the Aggies back to .500 in league play at 8-8 but a series sweep would put the Aggies at 9-7 with a strong chance to run down the Bulldogs and Warriors in the final two weekends.
