Fisher, Hipp Earn ABCA All-Region Honors

Aggie sophomore catcher Zac Fisher and sophomore second baseman Parker Hipp were both recognized by the American Baseball Coaches Association on Thursday as the pair received All Region honors. Zac Fisher was named First Team All-Midwest Region as a designated hitter while Parker Hipp was named Second Team All-Midwest Region as a second baseman.

Fisher finished the season as the Aggies' best batter with a .398 batting average. He appeared in 52 games and started 44. He tied for team-high honors with 68 hits including 16 doubles and a team-high eight home runs. He led the team in slugging percentage at .632 and had an on base percentage of .454.

Hipp finished second on the team in batting average at .396 and recorded 67 hits, second on the team, despite missing several games due to injury. He also had 10 doubles and six home runs and was second on the team in slugging percentage at .574. He sported an on base percentage of .507 and was 7-for-8 in stolen bases, also second best on the team. Hipp also drew 39 walks placing him third on the team in the category.
