LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State men's basketball head coach Marvin Menzies has promoted Ryan Mack to the coordinator of player development. Mack spent the last two seasons from 2009-11 as the Aggies' graduate assistant.

As a full-time member of the staff, Mack's responsibilities include managing the program's daily operations, working with the Sixth Man Club, assisting in recruiting, organizing team travel and promoting community outreach.

"Moving Ryan Mack up to the coordinator of player development position is a big plus for us with program continuity and player development," Menzies said. "Ryan has great relationships with all of our current players, and I'm looking forward to him doing a great job for us in this area."

Mack arrived in Las Cruces in September 2009 after graduating with a bachelor's degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, in May 2009. He spent four seasons as a student assistant with the RedHawk men's basketball team. A Defiance, Ohio, native, Mack assisted with many aspects of the program including practice, travel, film exchange and basketball camps.
