Walker Adds Linebacker To Recruiting Class

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State head football coach DeWayne Walker announced late on the 2012 National Signing Day the addition of Robert Wagner, a 6-2, 225 pound, linebacker from Ontario, Calif., and Colony High School.

Wagner played linebacker for Colony High School for three years. In 2011, Wagner had 57 tackles, two sacks, a pass break-up and a forced fumble. He also played tight end, catching 10 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown. He was named a first team all-league pick and an honorable mention all-region selection. As a junior, Wagner was a first team all-league pick and earned 2010 All-Inland Valley as well. He was Colony High School’s 2010 team captain, while recording 68 tackles, two sacks and an interception.

With the addition of Wagner, the Aggies have now signed 24 student-athletes in the 2012 signing class.
