LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State Equestrian coach Andrea Hanson announced Monday afternoon the signing of three Hunter Seat riders to National Letters of Intent to begin competition in the 2008-09 season. Krystal Doganay (Longmont, Colo.), Amy Land (Austin, Texas) and Brianna Raab (Norwell, Ma.) are the newest editions to an already stellar group of Hunter Seat riders.
"All are outstanding and accomplished riders and we are excited about the depth and experience these riders will bring to our team,” Hanson said.
Doganay has been competing for nine years in the Jumpers, Equitation, and Hunters. She earned the Green Rider High Point in Equitation and Hunters at the SBCRC. Donganay also placed first at the CHJA in the Columbine Jr. Medal and Ruth Ayers Memorial. She is currently third in the Junior Jumpers and recently moved to the Opens at a height of 3'9".
Land has been riding for 12 years and competes in AA and A rated shows in Ky., Va., Tenn., N.C., Ariz., Miss., and Texas. She currently competes in Large Junior Hunters and Junior Equitation at 3'6". Land earned champion honors at the Southwest Show Series Children's Hunter Classic. She also grabbed a championship honor at Texas Hunter/Jumper Assoc. Children's Hunter.
Raab has been competing for 11 years. She has shown on the national A circuit, while competing at Wellington, Fla., Saratoga and Lake Placid N.Y., as well as Devon and Harrisburg, Pa.
