Aggie Cross Country Teams Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors; Courtney Schultz Named Scholar Athlete

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the teams and individuals who received the organization's All-Academic Awards on Monday. Both the New Mexico State men's and women's teams were among the teams representing the WAC on the All-Academic list. While Courtney Schultz was one of two WAC student-athletes who received individual honors.

To qualify as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Cross Country Team, the team must have had a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or better and have started at least five runners at their respective NCAA regional championship.

New Mexico State's men (3.243) appeared on the list of 145 Division I programs and the New Mexico State's women (3.357) appeared on a list of 200 Division I programs.

To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have either earned USTFCCCA All-America status or finished in the NCAA region’s top 15 (or top 10 percent) in 2012.
