LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Senior defensive specialist Jordan Bostic, of the No. 14 New Mexico State volleyball team, was named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Third Team selected by CoSIDA, the organization announced Wednesday.

This is the first year that Bostic has earned this prestigious honor. As a junior, Bostic was a first-team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI selection.

Head coach Mike Jordan said he was pleased with Bostic’s selection as she has continued to set the standard for Aggie Volleyball as a true student-athlete.

"Jordan works so hard at everything she does on and off the court," Jordan said. "All her hard work has paid off. She takes great pride in her class work and we are extremely proud of her."

Bostic, who posts a 4.0 grade point average in journalism, is the only player from the WAC to receive the award. This is the third consecutive year that the Aggie Volleyball team has had a member of its squad named to an Academic All-American team.
