COLORADO SPRINGS, CO - New Mexico State Swimming and Diving has been named a College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America team for the spring semester, the organization announced on Wednesday.

“This was our 22nd consecutive semester with a team GPA above a 3.2, and I am very proud of our efforts in the classroom,” said head coach Rick Pratt. “We also had six athletes obtain a 4.0, which was an exciting accomplishment to celebrate. Academic and athletic success go hand in hand, and in our program the expectations are high for both.”

To be selected for this honor, teams must have a 3.00 GPA or higher. The Aggies had a 3.22 average for the semester.

The CSCAA honored 658 teams, representing 388 institutions, across the NCAA’s three divisions, as well as the NAIA and NJCAA. It is only the second time in the organization’s over 30-year history that they have honored more than 600 teams.
