LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The reigning Western Athletic Conference champion New Mexico State volleyball program has set a challenging 2016 schedule, which will feature two 2015 NCAA Tournament participants.

In total, the Aggies will play 30 matches, and will host 11 of those at the Pan American Center. NM State will co-host the Borderland Invitational with UTEP in Las Cruces and travel to Las Vegas, Nev., Troy, Ala. and Providence, R.I. for three additional tournaments.

Season tickets will go on sale July 26 at 10 a.m. General admission season tickets are only $50, with NM State faculty and staff season tickets priced at just $25.

The Aggies are set to play 14 matches against WAC opponents. Additionally, NM State will host the WAC Tournament on Nov. 17-20. This will mark the first time NM State has hosted the tournament since 2007.

"We are excited to be hosting the WAC Tournament," said head coach Mike Jordan. "It has been on a rotating schedule the last couple of years, and it is finally our turn to host. Hopefully we can draw well and put our young team in a position to perform."

After beginning the season on the road, the Aggies open the 2016 home schedule co-hosting the Borderland Invitational with UTEP, where they will be pitted against two 2015 NCAA Tournament participants in Texas A&M and Arizona. Texas A&M claimed their first Southeastern Conference Championship in 2015 and were a host site for the first two rounds of the NCAA Tournament. Arizona finished the 2015 season with a record of 19-14 and returns two-time AVCA All-American setter Penina Snuka. The Aggies will start the weekend against Sacramento State on Sept. 9 in the home opener.

NM State starts the 2016 campaign with two-straight weekends on the road, heading to Las Vegas, Nev. to face off against Albany, UC Santa Barbara and host UNLV on Aug. 26-27. The following weekend, the Aggies travel to Troy, Ala. to take on Austin Peay, Valparaiso, Southern and host Troy.

Following the Borderland Invitational, NM State will travel to Providence, R.I. for the Brown University Tournament. The Aggies will take on Central Connecticut, Binghamton and host Brown on Sept. 16-17.

The 2015 WAC regular season and tournament champions open the conference slate at home against Seattle U on Sept. 22 and Utah Valley on Sept. 24. The Aggies' first road WAC series will be the following weekend as NM State takes on CSU Bakersfield (Sept. 29) and Grand Canyon (Oct. 1).

The Aggies kick off a four-match homestand with the first game of the Battle of I-10 against UTEP on Oct. 5. The team will then square off against UT Rio Grande Valley (Oct. 8), Missouri-Kansas City (Oct. 13) and Chicago State (Oct. 15) to close out the home stint.

NM State will then take a break from conference play to face off against Rio Grande rival New Mexico. Last season, after falling in the first set, the Aggies rallied to take the next three sets and snapped a two-year losing streak to the Lobos.

The Aggies will travel to Utah Valley (Oct. 20), Seattle U (Oct. 22), UT Rio Grande Valley (Nov. 5), Chicago State (Nov. 10) and Missouri-Kansas City (Nov. 12) in the second half of the conference slate. The squad will close out the home schedule against Grand Canyon on Oct. 27 and CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 29.

NM State will conclude the regular season as they travel to El Paso, Texas to face UTEP in the second game of the Battle of I-10 on Nov. 23.
