The team starts the season on the road in South Bend, Ind., where the Aggies face Rhode Island, Valparaiso and tournament host Notre Dame on Aug. 25-26.

New Mexico State continues tournament play by hosting three 2016 NCAA Tournament teams in North Dakota, UNLV, and the four-time national champions UCLA for the NM State SpringHill Suites Invitational on Aug. 31-Sept. 2. The following weekend, New Mexico State co-hosts the Borderland Invitational and battles Delaware State, Abilene Christian and Samford.

The Aggies hit the road once more, this time, for a tournament hosted by Arizona where they face the Wildcats along with Illinois State and William and Mary on Sept. 15-16.

After facing UTEP at home (Sept. 19), NM State opens conference play at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Sept. 23. The Aggies then return to Las Cruces for their first league home series against Chicago State (Sept. 28) and UMKC (Sept. 30).

New Mexico State battles Seattle U (Oct. 5) and Utah Valley (Oct. 7) on the road before returning home for a four-game home stand. The Aggies close out the first round of conference play against CSU Bakersfield (Oct. 12) and Grand Canyon (Oct. 14) before squaring off against Battle of I-25 rival New Mexico on Oct. 16. Following the rivalry game, New Mexico State resumes conference play with its second match of the season against UTRGV on Oct. 21.

NM State hits the road for matches versus UMKC (Oct. 26) and Chicago State (Oct 28) before its final home games against Utah Valley on Nov. 2 and Seattle U on Nov. 4. The Aggies close the regular-season at Grand Canyon (Nov. 9) and at CSU Bakersfield (Nov. 11).

This year's WAC Tournament is hosted by UTRGV on Nov. 16-18. The six teams with the best records in conference play advance with the winner of the tournament earning an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Tournament.
