Pun Chanachai Takes First Place At Mission Hills Invite

RANCHO MIRAGE, CA - The New Mexico State women's golf team opened the spring season at the Mission Hills Individual Invite on the Arnold Palmer Course in Rancho Mirage, Calif. As the only golfer to shoot under par, Pun Chanachai took home her third first-place finish of the year shooting a 70 (-2) on the 18-hole event.

Strong play from the Aggie golfers did not stop there with Dominique Galloway shooting a one-over (73) to tie for fourth. That was followed by Angela Xu who finished in eighth with a one-round total of 76 (+4).

Maria Prado and Kennedie Montoya were one stroke behind at five-over (77) to tie the NM State golfers for ninth. Freshman Tiegan Taylor rounded out the Aggies after firing a 79 (+7) to tie for 18th.

New Mexico State women's golf returns to action at the Bruin/Wave Invitational, Feb. 26-27, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
