DENVER, CO - For the second time this season, Katara Nelson was named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week as announced by the league on Tuesday. This is the second award of Nelson's senior campaign and the Aggies' second accolade of the outdoor season.

Nelson took home first in the 200m dash at the Bobcat Invitational last weekend when she posted a time of 23.04. Her personal best time shattered the program record and ranks the senior ninth nationally in the event. She also competed on the relay team that recorded a time of 45.36 on its way to a first-place finish.

The New Mexico State track and field team is back in action on April 13 when the Aggie squad travels to San Diego for the Triton Invitational.
