DENVER, CO - New Mexico State swimming and diving’s MacKinna Hauff earned Western Athletic Conference Diver of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday. This is her first WAC honor of the season and second of her career.

“MacKinna has been working hard this season and earned this,” said diving coach Miranda King. “At our meets so far, she has been very consistent and continues to work on the details of her dives as well as improving her degree of difficulty. I am very excited to see where her final season will take her.”

The senior from Edmonton, Canada, had a strong weekend with meets at Wyoming and Northern Colorado. At Wyoming, Hauff finished second in the 1m Dive with a score of 247.95 and third in the 3m Dive (244.28). At Northern Colorado, Hauff dominated, sweeping both events. In the 1m Dive, she won with a total of 254.93 points while in the 3m Dive she finished with 278.77, more than 50 points ahead of the runner-up.

NM State is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 11:30 a.m. (MT) as CSU Pueblo visits the New Mexico State Swimming and Diving Complex.
