LAS CRUCES, N.M. - With the 2019 early signing period underway as of Wednesday morning, New Mexico State head men's basketball coach Chris Jans announced Tuesday that Jason King - who is currently in his final season at Snead State in Boaz, Ala. - has inked a National Letter of Intent to join the Aggies for the 2020-21 campaign and beyond.

Jason King | G | 6-5 | 200 | Birmingham, Ala../Parker HS/Snead State
• Following the conclusion of his inaugural season at Snead State in 2018-19, King collected a spot on the All-Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) North Division Team. Through 2018-19, King ranked second on Snead State's charts in scoring (13.4 ppg), third in rebounding (5.5 per game) and second in steals (1.4 per game) while helping the Parsons push their record to 25-7 and 11-3 in conference tilts.
• On 20 occasions through his first year of collegiate deployment, King pushed his point total to double-digits. That included a stretch of 12 consecutive double-digit outings to close the 2018-19 season.
• Twice during his freshman year King eclipsed the 20-point mark, the first time coming when he dropped in a season-high 26 in a 73-71 triumph at Southern Crescent Tech (Dec. 14).
• This year, King has helped Snead State get out to a 3-3 start. His lone outing the season thus far came during a 90-70 victory over Southern Crescent Technical College where he finished with a robust stat line of 14 points, four rebounds, six assists and four steals.
