Trevelin Queen Named WAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week

DENVER, CO - NM State senior guard Trevelin Queen has been named Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Dec. 9-15. This is his first-ever WAC Player of the Week honor.

The Glen Burnie, Md. native averaged 17.0 points, 7.5 assists and 6.0 rebounds last week as the Aggies went 1-1. Last Tuesday, Queen put in 15 points and dished out seven assists to help the Aggies lock up their first road win of the season at Denver. Four days later in Albuquerque, N.M., he flirted with a triple-double, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds and a career-best eight assists in the Aggies’ narrow loss to the Lobos. Queen ranks in the Top 10 in the WAC in scoring, rebounding, assists and steals.
