LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Senior Lashira Tremble is the Western Athletic Conference Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week for Jan. 20-26.

The native Peoria, Ariz., was in midseason form at last weekend's Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Invitational in Albuquerque N.M., as she put her sprinting prowess on full display in the NM State track and field team's second meet of the year.

Tremble set new personal bests in the 60m dash and 200m race, coming across the line in 7.44 seconds and 24.80 seconds, respectively. Her performance in the 60m dash is the second fastest time in program history and ranks as the top time in the WAC this season.

Her effort in the 200m, meanwhile, is the WAC's second-best time this year.

The indoor season rolls on for Tremble and the Aggies in February. The squad returns to action at the UNM Collegiate Classic on Friday, Feb. 7, and Saturday, Feb. 8.
