DENVER, CO - In a release issued Thursday morning by the Western Athlete Conference, a total of 30 NM State student-athletes earned Winter 2019 Academic All-WAC honors as a result of their efforts in the classroom and on the playing surface.

In all, 291 student-athletes from across the league's men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track & field, women's indoor track & field, men's swimming and diving and women's swimming and diving squads earned Academic All-WAC honors.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

The Aggies' swimming and diving team led the way 16 Academic All-WAC selections while indoor track & field had 12 student-athletes appear on the list. Women's basketball rounded out the list with two players showing up on the Academic All-WAC list.
