BAKERSFIELD, CA - The New Mexico State volleyball team faced CSU Bakersfield at the Icardo Center on Saturday. The Aggies fell to the Roadrunners 25-18, 21-25, 12-25, 25-15, 6-15 for their second-straight loss in Western Athletic Conference play.
How it Happened
NM State (10-5, (0-2 WAC) started the match going back-and-forth, but following a three-point rally that started with a kill by Megan Hart, the Aggies led CSUB (8-6, 2-0 WAC) 10-7. With Natalie Mikels serving, New Mexico State expanded their lead to six but the 'Runner did not go away easy and closed in on NM State, turning the lead to just three. Down the stretch, the Aggies had all the momentum, leading 17-10, when CSU Bakersfield called its second timeout.
