OREM, UT - The New Mexico State baseball team (8-33-1, 5-14-1 WAC) posted 20 hits on Saturday, May 2 to defeat Utah Valley (14-29, 10-10 WAC) at Brent Brown Ballpark in Orem, Utah.
The Aggies posted at least 20 hits in a game for the first time since they did it on May 11, 2014 when they defeated Bakersfield 19-7 on the road. Right fielder Joseph Koerper led the charge going 3-of-6 with two RBI and two runs scored to help disappoint the home team on its Senior Day. Catcher Brent Hermanussen got in on the fun going 3-of-5 with one RBI and three runs scored while he also threw out a runner in the bottom of the third, marking his 10th thrown out runner of the year.
