LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State softball went 1-1 on Friday as the Aggies defeated DePaul 8-1 but fell to Bradley 5-3.
Game One
The Aggies came out hot against DePaul to start the day. Rachel Rodriguez singled to get the offense going in the first inning. Fahren Glackin put the first run on the board as she sent a double out to center field. The junior was driven in by a Merina Ili double to give the Aggies the 2-0 advantage to start the game.
NM State tacked on another run in the second as Kaitlyn Rubio hit a home run to left field in her first collegiate start. It was the freshman's first home run of the year.
DePaul chipped away at the Aggies lead as the Blue Demons hit a home run of their own in the fourth inning. NM State fired back scoring a run in the bottom of the fourth to give the Aggies the 4-1 lead. Continue Reading This Post >>
