Spence Signs Erica Sanchez to Women's Basketball Team

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State women’s basketball head coach Darin Spence announced on Wednesday, Aug. 8 that he has signed Erica Sanchez to a Grant-In-Aid to attend school and play basketball for the Aggies this coming season.

Sanchez is a 6-3 forward from Chula Vista, Calif. and is a recent graduate of Eastlake High School. She was high school teammates with fellow incoming freshman Brittany Palmer and the duo helped guide the Titans to the San Diego section championship game as seniors.

Spence is pleased to have Sanchez join the Aggies this coming season as she will help give NMSU more size and depth inside.

“Erica is a solid player with good size, mobility and has a big upside to her,” Spence said. “She runs well, plays active at both ends and can step out and shoot the ball. She can play either a big wing or a forward spot for us.”  Continue Reading This Post >>

Aggie Women's Basketball Announces 2007-08 Schedule

LAS CRUCES, N.M. – New Mexico State women’s head basketball coach Darin Spence announced the release of the 2007-08 schedule on Wednesday, Aug. 1. The schedule is highlighted by the second most home games in school history and the second consecutive season in which New Mexico State hosts the Western Athletic Conference Championships.
